That was neat, brother. I never bothered to add a drop or two of water. Might be a whole new experience. I was enjoying it straight, though.

as I always do first time out, tried it neat, wouldn't do that by volume, but the definitive bourbon "sweet" was there, encouraging me to play with it.

kept adding drips of water, very difficult to tame, and then realized it shouldn't be too tame.

would have been easy to dismiss it as just very hot, but that would have been missing that it's actually very spicy, in my opinion.

got it to where the beautiful sweetness of bourbon was up front and the spice owned the finish, and I liked that, in that order. Long legs for sure, and it hangs on the inside of the glass forever.

A real bargain for anyone who has exceeded the Government Recommended Amount of Bourbon (GRAB) for one lifetime.

I found Heaven Hill Old Style 6 year bourbon. The choice is clear.

Heaven Hill old style is a top notchoice 6 year old cheap bourbon. And Ron keeps texting me about the fighting caulk.....such is life.

FYI he can't find the Old Style I think we know what that means.
