Sounds yummy

it had that pine aroma like hoppy IPAs but that didn't come through in the taste...love the smell of pine trees

You guys hatein' on my Bitches Brew. I have to agree. Many years ago that was the beer that really started my interest in stouts. Somewhere along the way, they must have changed the recipe. The last few years it's not nearly as good as I remembered.

The mouthful is thin to me and taste was basic. I expected a lot from it though so my expectations may have altered my opinion.

1604- Founders Breakfast Stout (never disappoints)

Don't know why but expected something close to or equal to Beer for Breakfast as far as enjoyment.

5.8% abv, with a very slight hop note to go with the malty goodness. You know it's hopped, but it doesn't taste or smell like a pine tree air freshener. I like it.
