Perhaps I'm not the best person to respond to this thread since I tend not to have strong opinions.....
BUT, since you asked I will add my 1 1/2 cents.
We all realize that there are a slew of review boards on the net. Adding one more would do nothing to the casual outsider.
BUT, we are not outsiders. This is a relatively small group of stogie lovers, and many of us have become aware of the others tastes. The relevance of having one of YOU rate a cigar is decidedly more valid than having some anonymous soul explain the subtle nuances of the Hungarian Paprika overtones married with under-ripened cherries on their Cuban Bolivar.
I know that you guys will tell the truth when you warn me of the nearly-digested corn and peanuts present in the Tamboril you just extinguished after one puff. Or the still-whole heartworm pill discovered while snipping your Lone Wolf.
Certainly, we won't agree on all counts, but because we are a tight family, we'll eventually know whose tastes match our own.
But that's just my meek and humble opinion. I know that I can easily be swayed to realize that a review board is the manifestation of all that is evil.
