1996 Chateau StJean Cinq Cepages meritage. Still vibrant but a nose and mouthfeel of port seeping in now. Wonderful stuff!

Tsantali "Roditis" d'Estelle Rose...no year given. Greece.
From Spey.

Beautiful deep color, shades beyond pink. As a sipper, nice and dry, more fruit aroma than taste.

later with a chef salad, just fine. Seems like it would go with many foods.

The Lovely Caren was able to discern the aroma of banana as claimed on the back label (along with other fruits). I could only catch it in the finish.

Sneaky complex...to this noob.

Good one Allen, thanks.

Glad you liked it.

To bad they have to call it Roditis. If they could call it rose it would sell better.

only other Greek wine I recall that I have had was decades ago, Retsina.
Tasted like pine.

It would. Pine resin was historically used as a preservative in Greek wines. Retsina stays true to tradition. It tastes not so good. Sometime try an Assyrtiko from Santorini, or a Moschofilero from Peloponnese. Both are great summertime whites.

Nice grouping, how was the Viognier? I have never had any from Oregon.

I've had it many times, it's slightly sweet after having the chardonnay, nice honeydew melon and apricot with a mineral finish.

Arrowhead Cabernet Sauvignon

Had it out at dinner with friends Friday night. Came recommended from the waiter but it was not my favorite.

rose bottle #5 from this guy ^^^

2017 Tres Ojos, Spain
70% Garnacha, 30% Tempranillo

back label nails it, berry fruit on the nose, strawberry/raspberry aromas, fresh and crisp on the palate with plum/berry fruit.

very nice Rosado.
