So, as y'all probably already know, Ewok would have it no other way than to smack the chit outta me for almost breaking his mailbox. After holding a cold steak to my jaw for an hour and waiting for the birdies to stop spinning around my head I was able to identify the awesome stogies I received today...

MB3 Churchill - love
Tat Monster Hyde Cazadore - nh
Alex Bradley Mundial PL6 - nh
Macanudo Vintage 2006 Toro - nh
Macanudo Vintage 1997 Robusto - nh
My Father Le Bijou Torpedo - a personal favorite!
Perdomo Reserve Champagne 10th Aniv. Robusto - nh
Partagas 1845 Black Label Bravo/Robusto - nh, can't wait.
Room 101 S.A. 808 - nh, can't freakin' wait!
Room 101 Ichiban Lonsdale - nh, can't freakin' wait x2!!

... not sure what I did to deserve that azz kickin' but I'm sure I'll enjoy every one of them as I lie around recovering from the bruises [ram27bat]

Thanks Ewok, it has been a pleasure trading with you my friend!!!

Likewise brother indeed. I hope you get some enjoyment out of em. Just some friendly advice here. As my cabinet humi is still in the stabilizing process it seems, I would absolutely let em rest in yours a bit to get em to the right moisture you prefer. It is going to take me a bit to get this damn cabinet of mine in the zone I think as I am having to still make minor adjustments. It is looking like I am going to have to install a couple of fan kits in this big biatch. lol.

This wasnt an azz kickin at all brother, this was just a tit for tat.

Keep me posted on the ones you get to try and like.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll let em rest a while and then start burning em down!

I've been considering a cabinet also, I'd like to know how that one works out for you in the near future.

I will keep you posted. As it stands right now she is definitely holding humidity which I think is great considering I converted a curio cabinet lol. It took quite a few days for the humidity to start rising which I knew would happen. I lined it and built the shelfs with 1/4 inch thick spanish cedar. I didn't want to shock it into season by wiping her down with season wipes. I wanted to let it do it all on its own so I just filled a huge bowl with some cigar juice and let her set. Once she hit in the mid 60% I took out the bowl and put in heartfelt beads.

Now what I am seeing is the humidity is wanting to rise a little higher than my desired set point in the upper levels. I have multiple hygrometers actually one at each shelf or level.

All hygrometers was calibrated before going in the cabinet. With the nature of RH being what it is. I am seeing higher RH in the higher shelf levels. I am wanting a more consistent reading at all shelf levels and this is why I think fans are going to be my answer.

I typically like a lower RH than the typical 72%. For me, and this is just OP of course, 72% is to much and I tend to get burn issues when I have kept my cigars at that. I dropped down in the low 60's and the burn seems to go a great deal better for me. It could just all be in my head lol.

So yeah the OCD in me is going nuts when I see 63 at one level and 74 at the upper level. Which I think is nothing to go stupid over but my brain just won't let it go lmaooo.

I am thinking that if I put fans up against the back on small risers to where they are pulling inward between the shelfs and blowing up against the back to where the air hits the back and spreads out to the sides this should distribute the humidity more consistently but I don't really know or should I just put one fan in the top blowing downward or should I just say phug it because 63 on the lower levels to 74 on the upper levels is no super biggy. From my readings this is where an upright becomes a biatch.

That's my fear of using a cabinet that is too tall, fighting humidity at different levels and my precious stash suffering from the constant battle. Me being in SC, mother nature gives us summer days at 90% plus and winter days that are sometimes almost zero humidity.
I'm thinking about an end table or night stand conversion, 600-1000 capacity, that way I could keep the cabinet ceiling low and the RH under control... I'd just hafta get on my knees every time I wanted to plunder through my stock! 🌫 and I'm getting too damned old to crawl around on the floor 😰

So, I do believe I have managed to single handedly kill this thread and for that I do apologize guys. I also, if I understand the rules correctly, stepped all over the founding fathers' idea for a pib thread instead of a trade thread... again, I apologize. 🤦 😣
How do I make this right? How do we bring this thing back to life? I need to bomb another vet, right?

Shoot, Some gasket sealer so he dont blow out is O ring. I mean, you ever seen a FOG just standing there, suddenly you hear a backfire and his butt hole falls out of his pants leg and rolls across the floor.

It is not a pretty sight.
