Pat Metheny - November 19, 1981 - Moore Theater, Seattle, WA

Nice mellow set.

So much good stuff up there recently....Metheny comforted when I bailed on 80's music for fusion, Avenged-my kids turned me on to them...actually playing guitar hero with them did, early Rush - nothing better, London Calling - not as edgy as it once was, but absolute classic

Currently listening to Fixx - Reach the Beach...right about the time I mention above when I pretty much quit mainstream pop/rock for most of a decade -- heard them in a commercial recently and decided to revisit....aged well, but not quite as intense as I remember it....pretty decent, though

Grateful Dead - American Beauty

Not a big fan of the Dead but good change-of-pace.

80F / 96% RH / 0 mph - man, it was frickin’ oppressive today! Rained earlier but still warm and sticky. Ugh!

Rolling Stones - It’s Only Goat’s Head Soup...but we like it

Alternates and outtakes 1973-1974.

Mick Taylor really shines.

Toto IV -

I've been struggling with the whole 'Toto fanaticism' going on lately - I mean...I had a number of Toto albums, but, hey...I was a kid....and I've sorta kept it secret many years...the freakishly pop nature of so much of their stuff was gross. But, listening critically now, it is impossible not to appreciate Lukather's guitar work. I Won't Hold You Back is a perfect example of why I struggle with them --- the song is almost sickening in its mushy balladish way...and then there's this stuck in the middle:

?t=195

Blues Saraceno - Plaid

Dudes got some chops...sometimes he's Steve Vai, others Eddie VH...Michael Schenker...and then Pat Methany ...even a little Jeff Healy blues tossed in. Wish I'd heard of him sooner

Couple of highlight discs of Stevie Wonder's "At the Close of a Century."

Starting with 1972’s “Music of My Mind” to 1980’s “Hotter Than July.” Stevie made a lot of great music back then.

had the blues and found this on youtube...very slow and Blue....I always feel better after hearing something like this...I guess it helps to hear someone bleeding through the guitar and coming out feeling better for it....

Eddie and the Cruisers - original soundtrack

Most of the songs are done by John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band. We regularly played this at Records Hawaii and sold quite a few copies to customers just browsing and asking who we were playing.
