I did notice she was being compared to Trump. While she is many things I do not like an emotional child certainly does not describe her. I am curious how that is something factual?

Bingo...he appeared with Trump on numerous occasions during the initial response to Maria, agreeing with Trump, who kept praising himself for, and asking Rossello to affirm, the great job FEMA was doing in PR...and he nodded his head appropriately every time Trump asked him to...

He did praise Obama when NJ was recovering from Sandy, and was given a bunch of grief by many cons...he continued to buddy up with Obama as long as his state needed aid...

in the face of life-threatening circumstances people are confronted by circumstances where they have to work together (form alliances - be allies) with people they would usually not consider allies, in order to survive...Christie did and so did the PR Gov. ...are they permanent allies...no... former allies?

I guess you wouldn't choose that description, but it fits...why does it trouble you that I chose that description?

I agree with everything you said regarding emergency support. Any governor who is worthy of his/her position has to put the welfare of constituents first and partisan feelings aside especially in emergent situations.

Where I take issue is with your use of the word ally. In my estimation, an ally is going to be there for the long term and not just the short term.

Look, everyone on this forum knows you are a “Never Trump-er” and will always be. Your phraseology just seeks to maximize negative effect every single time.

OK, I getcha...duration and loyalty fit into your definition of "ally"...so, in the case of Rosello, would these be more appropriate: a former expedient sycophant, a toad, a kiss-up, a foul weather friend...

...so the PR Gov is not a former ally of Trump's...not like Michael Cohen, Mike Flynn, George Papadapoulos, Rick Gates, Paul Manafort, Alan Weisselberg and David Pecker are all former Trump allies...

Not sure why PR would withhold these numbers for so long.. one opinion I heard this morning was people were trying to cover their asses for not doing their jobs.. so it was downplayed.. 😟

When an island does not have power or running water it is probably pretty challenging to make sure the government knows who died in a timely manner.

That this information came in a delayed manner is not that surprising. The infrastructure for the island still hasn't been fully restored and it's been a year. Those living there have other priorities.

I don't think the death count was a subject of much interest until FEMA started processing the applications for death benefits, a process that is way down in the sequence of stages for a FEMA emergency response. This is part of the recovery/documentation stage... when the number exceeded expectations, somebody took exception...
