Duane Allman - An Anthology

One of my all-time favorite guitarist. Such a shame he passed away so young.

Weather Report - Heavy Weather

Missed seeing them in 1977 when they played at the Waikiki Shell. Went to see Little Feat instead but Jaco came up after their show and sat in on the encore - “Teenage Nervous Breakdown”.

Maynard Ferguson - Primal Scream

Had totally forgotten about MF for many years. He brought his band to my small hometown in '76 and I'd never heard anyone play a trumpet like that before...and few since

Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland

I remember buying a used copy from a “hippie” shpo back in 1970, shortly before Jimi’s death. A few years later as a perk of working in a record store, I swapped my worn out, scratchy records for new copies. The old set was returned by a “customer” because it “skipped”. 🤥

David Bowie - Let’s Dance

My favorite Bowie album...helps to have the relatively unknown Stevie Ray Vaughan on guitar.

Leo Kottke - 6- and 12-String Guitar

First heard this as a 20 year old in 1975. My appreciation for solo acoustic guitar changed that day.

Interesting. Hadn't heard of this. Misread your post the other day and thought Rock of the Westies, which I enjoyed at the time of releases and even more once it became apparent it would be the last studio album from him that I could like.
Love most everything he did around 70, so I'll have to give it a listen

Let me know if you can’t find it, I’ll burn a copy for you...or in this technology age, send the .shn or .flac files to you.

Great recording....Border Song is a highlight...always like Rod's version of Country Comfort better, but this is a great piece...the medley is sort of weird/all over the place, but it does give Dee and Nigel a nice showcase

Will compare and get back to you.

Edit: 2018-12-31 - The version I have is slightly longer in the beginning but after listening to the opening cut a couple of times, believe it is the same recording.
