Was looking on Beeradvocate for new releases and found this thread about Trillium in the mix. Started looking deeper into it online and was wondering if any of the Boston crew on here had info about the brewery. I knew they were popular but if these accusations are true they seem to lose a lot of business in the craft beer community.

so the local local version going around is that there were a few employees and noobies who did get pay cuts or were hired at the lower rate per hour. All limited to positions supplemented by tips and in line with restaurant waiter/waitress wages...

the immediate outcry resulted in a reversal and apology from the husband and wife ownership.

at least that's what's floating around here.

the writer does seem to have some personal issues that could be fact based but I'd be surprised.

Ever hear anything about the tequila being dumped into the beer instead of aging in barrels?

Friends from Florida have been visiting the last 10 days. I drank far too many beers in Vegas and San Diego to number them. Not drinking tonight.

However, I had Ayinger, Firestone Walker 805 and Lager, Paulaner, Ballast Point CA Kolsch, Hofbrau, Heineken, Kilkenny... and prolly others.

My liver hurts.

From Sunday

3496 - Cape May Brewery Last Hurrah American Imperial Stout 15% abv
3497 - Left Hand Brewing Pixan Pepper Porter

Cape May is my most popular local and while they generally make some good stuff they lack in the dark beer department. They make an ok Imperial stout called concrete ship but Last Hurrah was lacking and overpriced. Their regular production coffee stout is meh but their regular production chocolate porter is decent.

Still deciding what I want to start the new year off with today.

first time was in the link. I did hear that there was talk of bottom of the vat being sold in growlers vs the canned and tastings at the bar...but that seemed to have gone away.

I honestly don't know. It might be true or just some people with axes to grind, but they sure have become amazingly popular and garnered tremendous accolades in a very short time.

Makes no sense for them to play games with little to win.

I really like Funky Buddha beers, I visited the brewery while in Florida. They do some pretty different stuff.
Being in MD sadly it's not available.
