Born to Run

The screen door slams, Mary's dress waves
Like a vision she dances across the porch as the radio plays

Nearly every band wishes their SECOND best album was this good.....shame he peaked with Greetings....it was all downhill from the start...lol

For me, the tuba alone drops the entire album to no higher than 3....not just a weak link...it really ruins the whole thing for me....the accordion is just the nail in the coffin....without Wild Billy, I'd be having a different conversation, though

Montrose - Warner Brothers Presents

Tried to listen to earlier stuff, but my extreme dislike for Sammy Hagar prevented me from enjoying....this is much better, even if the songwriting isn't

Tricky - Pre-Mellinium Tension

Trippy as hell, but a relaxing grooving feel throughout the entire album. My favorite of his though opinions may vary

The Harder They Come (Deluxe Edition)

For awhile this was my first and only reggae album I had access to. Still a favorite.

Faces - A Nod Is As Good As A Wink...To A Blind Horse

Back when Rod sang rock ‘n roll and Ronnie Wood rivaled some of the best guitar players.

73F / 73% RH / 6 mph - the high today was only 80 but it felt w-a-y warmer than that

Gabor Szabo - High Contrast

Love the original version of “Breezin’” that leads off this album.

74F / 81% RH / 8 mph - beautiful day, high of 80 again but felt at least 5 degrees higher, washed and waxed the wifey’s car

Seemed fitting for St. Patrick’s Day.

75F / 65% RH / 13 mph - too cool to wash my car so washed the dog instead

Pet Sounds

Every couple years I revisit because I read another article fawning over this and the earth-shattering importance....but, I was right all along -- nice enough harmonizing, but mostly sucks

I know Conan loves the Beach Boys, but I always thought they had about 6 to 10 fine songs and the rest was Jan & Dean sound-alike...

not America's answer to the Beatles. Perhaps the Byrds earned that title.
