Love NY. He can't sing worth squat, but great lyricism.

Old Man is my favorite.

The Heavy.

Like yesterday's Monophonics, I'm not sure how to pigeonhole these guys. Great music, whatever it is.

Love the Spinners....got them on my Pandora speed-dial. They're in heavy rotation lately; along with Sly Stone, Isaac Hayes, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, ChiLites....

I agree NY's voice is ,um, different, but who could sing his songs any better?
Old Man, gives me good memories of my Dad...we were very different from each other then, but "Now, I'm a lot like he was"🌫

I love the live version of Old Man, when he was super young (no pun intended)...

I went to Desert Trip years ago. Did you hear about it?

Inspired by all this Neil Young talk:

Neil Young - Live Rust

Many moons ago, when I worked in a record store, one of my co-workers used to play this every time we worked together so I heard this album couple times a week. ‘Course, as a Neil fan too, I didn’t have any objections. 👍

One of my favorite singers from the early ‘70s.
