I don't think the camping out happens anymore. Mostly people buying online before the brokers snatch them up and resell marked up from the already high face value. I wouldn't even know where to buy in person anymore.

In my experience the past few years, you'll be hard pressed to get into a big name show for anything less than $100. I'm still getting chit from the wife for not grabbing Petty tickets for Wrigley Field at $300/per (to be fair, I was late in the game on that one, but still betting they were high during initial sale). I told her no way. Then he up and died, and I will be reminded of this for the remainder of my days.
