(Interesting aside) Most people who read Dune or see the movies never quite get the message he's (Frank Herbert) trying to convey. That war and all it's atrocities like rape are actually a deliberate and fundamental function of human evolution. People die, making room for new one's, whole cities destroyed only to be rebuilt bigger and better, the gene pool is spread and diversified, science is advanced in the name of war and the lives of the general population after a time of rebuilding tend to be a lot better than their ancestor's were. Everyone get's the Messiah message etc. but no one understands why that messiah disappears into the desert after his goal is accomplished. It was because he was aware of what and why he was doing what he did and hated himself and his destiny. Herbert wrote about it once in some sci-fi magazine that doesn't exist anymore and it really upset people. He never mentioned it again but, anyone with half a brain who reads the first book can spot it. His own son started writing the rest of the books when Frank died and never really alluded to it again. He never stated that he thought this was actually true, just something he thought about after having lived through WW2, Korea, Vietnam, etc. So yeah, I intend to spread my gene pool all over you bastids!
