He's a frisky one that Thurson!

What about the sides?
How do you keep the elements out?

=================================

It's friggin' California...who cares? LOL
It has to be a major storm with the rain coming down sideways for the deck to get uninhabitable. In the cold, I can always fire up the pot bellied stove to the left of the seating area. The really bad weather smoking area is in my garage, or I jsut take a short drive to the local and light one up.

Thurson, I was wondering how you protected all of that nice furniture, throw pillows, etc. It's not exactly plastic or wrought iron.

You couldn't get away with that in Maryland though.
We have periodic stiff winds & torrential rains that will blow/wash away almost anything if it's not heavy- especially on an elevated deck like mine
(about 12'- 14' high).

You're a lucky man.

That is, until California drops into the ocean.

I think we're far enough inland that when the big one happens and everything West of the San Andreas fault plunges into the Pacific, we'll have beachfront property.

I love the layout. The outdoor living space combined with the plants makes this an awesome place to just hang out. Great idea with the plexiglass, especially with the rains central Jersey has been getting lately.

Thanks for sharing.
