I actually like movies very much. Just don't care for the Kill Bill schlock. I love a good kung fu flick but the Kill Bill movies are like spoofs that aren't funny. Corny movies with thin plots, an oh so trendy female warrior lead, and lots of blood to keep your attention away of just how bad this movie is.
Now I'm all for blood and gore but you don't need it if you've got a good script or great main character. Take a favorite of mine: Zatoichi -- these movies rock although they have little to no gore. Lots of killing and slashing but no gore --- just a great character. The Kill Bill flicks were just rip-offs of previously made Japanese flicks (like Kill Chiba -- yeah yeah I know he was in KB1)but my point is I thought they were like spoof movies that got way too much attention. Were they mildly entertaining? --- Well, yes, but much less entertaining than any saturday afternoon "chop sockey" flick with poorly dubbed voices.
But again its just my opinion, YMMV.
I'll leave the corny flicks to you----
