WhoTF knows. Izon types the first thing out of his brains (...or what is believed to be his “brains”...) with a sharpness that cuts like the best Japanese sword.

I couldn’t decipher his comment either but guessing he’d been hitting his gifted bourbon bottles from Spey so as I used to say in my youth:

“Drunk no count.”

If we wait a bit, he’ll be back to either ‘splain hisself or give some snide comment that will further mystify us. I’m betting on the latter.... :-"

well...I'm probably stepping in where I don't belong, especially since I'm not in this year's Secret Santa nor have I been in the past .
But I just want to say something.

I've been accepted here from day one, and I am not often in the majority. One reason I don't join this yearly event is simply because I am not a follower of any Christian denomination. But I love everyone who is and derive great pleasure from reading these Santa threads. It makes me feel wonderful to see how my friends here are so caught up in the spirit and lessons that define this Christmas thing you all have...a vicarious joy that comes from the way you all do it. This thread epitomizes the amazing generosity that is unique to our cbid community.

So I just want to say I am saddened to see the shunning of a member. And in a Christmas special no less!

Not everyone is universally liked, it's not realistic. But I've always thought there are certain special times when people put aside their differences in the spirit of these times.
For some reason I thought Christmas was one of those special times with special meaning and lessons by which to live...

I'm having second thoughts about posting this, but it really saddened me and I don't even have a relationship with this individual.

Feel free to tell me to myob, or use even stronger language and I will completely understand. I really will understand. I'm rereading it and it truly sounds holier-than-thou. But I decided to not delete.

And I'll follow along silently in any event, it's one of my favorite rites of passage here...but I didn't want to hold that in in case others felt uneasy too.

Sorry, in a way.
