My first concert I went to without my parents was Black Sabbath opening for WASP. It was the I F*** like a beast tour.... heh. I was 14 and it was awesome! That opened up the flood gates and I slept out for tickets to tons of shows. That used to be as fun as the concert you were getting tickets for! I think the only time people sleep in line to get in somewhere now is for Black Friday so everyone can trample each other all to get $15 off a crappy toaster oven.
Back when good seats cost $20... now it's $200 for obstructed view. I got to see The Stones, Bowie, Motley Crue, Springsteen, U2, Def Leppard etc etc. I was lucky enough to get tickets for the Amnesty International tour with Springsteen, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Tracy Chapman, Joan Biaz and some African singer who's name I cannot remember. That was an amazing night! Wild Turkey made it better! My only regret was skipping a Floyd concert for some chick who's name I don't even remember.
Have you checked out Wolgangs.com? Ton's of live show's from every decade. It's an amazing site.
