And that's why California's is seeing so few deaths compared to new York... Many of us have had it...

My son was home sick for 10 days in December... My daughter was home a week... My father in law ended up in the hospital with pneumonia that wouldn't go away, and I caught a Virus that changed my body completely...

Nothing is proven but I would not doubt it if they come back with results showing California was the starting point for the US back in fall 2019...

I lean toward that same theory, but until the antibody test is available widespread, there is no way to prove it. Here in NC, my wife had all the symptoms in February. Chest conjestion, dry cough, low grade fever and loss of smell and taste. She said it was unlike any flu/cold she ever had before, and was completely in her chest. It was an annoying illness, but she was still able to function, and never had trouble breathing. I was by her side the whole time taking care of her and never showed any symptoms. We are both in our 60s, but eat a whole food organic Keto diet, practice intermittent fasting, and consume immune system boosting suplements. I've talked with dozens in the area that had the same symptoms, including our daughters, son-in-laws and grandkids. It also blew through our schools. I hope the antibody test becomes available soon, as I would love for both of us to take it. If we both show antibodies, it would strengthen my belief that this part of NC experienced this virus back in February, and that our current lockdown is a waste.

This appears to be a VERY virulent virus. It is great at it's job in that respect. I find it very difficult to believe it ended up in so many different places without people having a direct reason for it, without there being a significant uptick in hospitals. I mean, NYC literally is keeping bodies in refrigerated trucks and discussing temporary burials in parks.... if it ran through our communities previously we would have at least seen a blip on the hospital radar.

but Stanford ...(tho I didn't read the article Opel linked) seems they're studying that possibility by testing people for anti-bodies...
