I put that "meaning statement" up there and pretty much quoted it straight off of an internet search (I didn't want to get my facts wrong). I'm an internet search freak at times. Before the net, I used to be a library and encyclopedia freak, then a discovery/History/National Geographic Channel Freak. Now I'm an internet search and Travel Channel Freak. When I have a question about something I do a search and research the answer. There's so much information out there.

Before I put that message up there, I made a bet with one of my colleagues that an even 50% of the responses would be people referring to various other body parts of theirs as their "3rd eye." So far it's running pretty close.

I hoped that at least a couple of us would be interested to "learn" something new about another culture. I'm glad to see it was true.

I always thought that "dirt" was cigarette ashes that the priest accidently tapped on the little kid's foreheads as he was smoking a cigar with them "standing" in front of them........

Actually, he takes more heat because he often takes an "Anti American" view point.

Since Liberalism often mirrors an Anti-American stance, it's easy to confuse the two. But I don't think Adroomi is necessarily left of center. He simply sides with the worldwide minority who despise America (while simultaneously benefiting from our vast wealth, usually).

I haven't earned a penny in the USA in over 10 years my friend....but I've enjoyed watching all of YOUR money come over here to MY side of the world.

I'm a bit older than you might think. Actually I've been floating around over here for 19 years off and on (floating all over the world for that matter). Proper diet, plenty of exercise, and clean (well, cleaner than before) living will in fact keep you in shape.....and make you look younger.

Mac, my comment refers to the amount of money that the USA is spending overseas since we have pretty much given up our status as a country that "makes" anything anymore. Oh sure, we make plenty of bombs and rockets, but I'm talking about the day to day things that we used to make that employed us all. Start at the keyboard you're typing at and the screen you're reading and look around the room. How many things do you see that are "made in America." One of my biggest complaints that I try to make is how we constantly sell out, and nobody cares.

Did I say that? I don't recall EVER saying that. Please do not put words into my mouth pal. I did say something very similar to that however, that went more like this......I see no difference between us and them when you think about it. We attack who and what we perceive to be our enemy and they attack who and what they perceive to be their enemy. No difference.

You need to put your head into the head of these guys to try to understand what they are doing. I don't say "empathize" with them, but rather try to "understand" what it is they are doing. You say they purposely strap on bombs and TRY to kill as many innocent civilians as they can. You are DEAD wrong. In fact they strap on bombs and try to kill as many of the ENEMY as they can. Their enemy being US the civilians.

You and I see US as innocent civilians....they see US as the enemy and they are trying to kill us.

You and I see THEM as the enemy and we try to kill them.....they see THEMSELVES as innocent civilians that WE are trying to kill.

It's not being anti-American, it's all about trying to figure out what makes them tick so that we can defeat them SOMEHOW.....maybe through bombs, maybe through the study of WHY they hate us. Maybe, just maybe if we could figure out WHY they hate us, we could do something to make them not hate us anymore.....then they would stop strapping on bombs and trying to kill us.......
