never been sure what category it should be called, it is rum-like, might be it's own category.
They also make a Texas rum though.
Very interesting company. Balcones is innovative, fairly expensive, make some head snapping strong products.
I'm a fan of their stuff when I have the extra coin.

Last of my bottle from 2015, wasn’t a fan. Local just got in some of there other offerings, just haven’t pulled the trigger yet.

they make a couple blue corn whiskies
a single malt American whisky
the rum is strong

everything is on the higher proof side.

had a fat finger of Mad River First Run Rum (Warren, VT) earlier wif a Party Short.
It's a dryer rum, not suitable for those that love the sweet types.

Having another fat finger in (don't hate me) Silk dairy free Soy Nog.

will probably be drinking straight from the bottle after dinner

Wide range of rums out there...that's why some wicked smaht old guy started this thread
