Delta there are no guidelines federally. CDC has suggestions but really once out to the states so be it.

Each state is different. Some did better than others.

The whole debate here is built on false premises and misses the reality.

of course...some don't see nuance in government communications, whether they're called regulations, guidelines or vaccination schedules and strategies

I was trying to illustrate the difference between following public health guidelines to avoid infections, and the tiered approach to administering vaccines, a perishable good...

Came in a bit hot this morning, sorry...

It's just that, the way people on the far right can't stand people on the far left and find their ideologies to be ridiculous, and the way people on the far left can't stand people on the far right and find their ideologies to be ridiculous - that's how the vast majority of our nation views both of these groups of people...

So if you're on the far right and have ever found yourself disgusted by the people and policies on the far left - that's how normal people look at you all the time... same for the far left....

It's gotten old... it's 2 groups of people too stupid to know how stupid they are... and they're loud...

were are a unique experiment in the history of human societies...the most diverse and free one ever...and yet, some ignore that our greatness is a synergism of us all, and focus on individuals or small groups as more important than the whole...

my sense is that people who give out are better, don't matter if it's vaccines or bread...

Injecting someone with a vaccine is the same as giving out expired bread. Got it.

lotta stores have specific use by dates, and would typically throw tons of food away...many don't follow the letter of the law, instead donating food to food banks or homeless shelters where it is consumed safely and quickly....

Food banks don't accept food that is past the use by date. At least the ones around here. As you have mentioned, there are liabilities and ramifications if they do so. I've donated time at some local food banks and some of the chores are to go through their stores and toss out stuff that is past the use by dates. I've filled trash buckets full of canned food and dry goods that were past their use by date.

But this is getting off topic.

are basic guidelines for avoiding viral infection the same as the order of preference for using a scarce and highly desired commodity?

Publix will start administrating Covid19 vaccine shots soon.

California hopes to have 65 year olds vaccinated by June. At that pace we will still be rolling out vaccines when Kamala Harris is running for re-election.

if there are surplus supplies in CA, they are not being shipped to Riverside County...every vaccination site is booked full within a short time of their announcement...

Albertson's Pharmacy announced they will be getting a few thousand doses and will be jabbing arms at the store closest to me when they get the vaccines...only problem is the webpage to set an appointment doesn't work...

guess I just have to wait patiently for our healthcare provider, Kaiser Permanente, to start scheduling their patients...got an email from them to be patient, don't call or email or online chat about COVID19 vaccines...they'll call us to schedule.....call me skeptical...
