21 coins is a Spanish speaking subtitled series about the coins Judas was paid to betray Jesus. It’s interesting.

Just started season 7 of Game of Thrones. I was really digging the first 3 or 4 seasons, then it started to get melodramatic, Hollywood-ie and a bit corny. Maybe that's why I stopped watching way back when. I'm gonna plow through the remaining seasons since there's still some stories to follow.

Peaked into Billionaire (from one of youze guys suggested somewhere above) watched 2 episodes and it sparked my interest. Prolly jump into that after GoT.

That's out. I hate reading subtitles through large portions of the show.

Watched most of the seasons of Narcos on Netflix (?). It was good but it drew to a halt for me after a couple seasons because half of it is subtitles. If you speak/understand Spanish it's probably better. I don't speak a lick of Spanish and I hate staring at the bottom of the screen reading subtitles.

Netflix has an option to change subtitles to dubbed in English. Maybe its not an option for all programs, but that's how I made it through Ares. Subs are a hard stop for me since Mrs. Beach demands to know what's going on but doesn't usually wear her glasses watching TV

I used to feel the exact same way, until we had my son. Watching tv with the volume really low and subtitles on is the only way we can watch tv while he’s napping. Also makes the pioneer receiver and surround sound completely useless. Haven’t turned it on in a year and a half.

The Prize: The Prize: An Epic Quest for Oil, Money, and Power

On Amazon Prime
Based on Daniel Yergin's Pulitzer Prize-winning book and narrated by award-winning actor Donald Sutherland (The Hunger Games), The Prize is an exciting and entertaining eight-part series that captures the fascinating stories behind the global hunt for oil.

The business and politics (one can't exist without the other) of black gold. Good old fashioned documentary and a good watch. I'm about half way through it. The business of oil, how it shaped politics, domestic and foreign relations, created countries, regions, wars, economies...
