Maricopa County Defies Subpoena, Won't Release Hardware For Election Audit Over 'Security Risk'

Something must be really worrying Democrats. There appears to be a full court press effort to delay and defer any and every effort to audit Maricopa County's election results. The Biden justice department added to pressure from Arizona's chief elections officer (a Democrat) and the Arizona Democratic Party, and now, Daniel Payne at JustTheNews.com reports that officials in Arizona's Maricopa County are withholding materials subpoenaed by the state legislature as part of its audit of the county's 2020 election, claiming that surrendering them would constitute a security risk for both law enforcement and federal agencies.

A Monday letter sent from the Maricopa County Attorney's Office to Ken Bennett, the former Arizona secretary of state and the liaison between the state Senate and the auditors, said the county had elected not to turn over "several routers" requested by the legislature due to an alleged "significant security risk to law enforcement data utilized by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office as well as numerous federal agencies."

Given that President Biden is the most popular president ever and we know from the mainstream media that there was no, none, zip, nada, election fraud anywhere in America, why are Democrats so aggressively interfering in the process of

Update (1300ET): Shortly after Arizona's top elections officer raised concerns about the Maricopa County election audit process, the Biden Department of Justice piled on, expressing concern about ballot security and potential voter intimidation.

As AP reports, in a letter to GOP Senate President Karen Fann, the head of the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division said the Senate's farming out of 2.1 million ballots from the state's most populous county to a contractor may run afoul of federal law requiring ballots to remain in the control of elections officials for 22 months.

And Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Pamela S. Karlan said that the Senate contractor's plans to directly contact voters could amount to illegal voter intimidation.

“Past experience with similar investigative efforts around the country has raised concerns that they can be directed at minority voters, which potentially can implicate the anti-intimidation prohibitions of the Voting Rights Act,” Karlan wrote.

“Such investigative efforts can have a significant intimidating effect on qualified voters that can deter them from seeking to vote in the future.”

So, Democrats play the race-card again?

“We are very concerned that the auditors are engaged in ongoing and imminent violations of federal voting and election laws,” said the letter sent by the Brennan Center for Justice, the Leadership Conference and Protect Democracy.

Why are they so worried? They already told America there was no fraud?

As The Epoch Times' Mimi Nguyen Ly detailed earlier, Arizona’s top elections officer Katie Hobbs on Wednesday alleged multiple points of concern regarding the forensic audit of the 2020 presidential election currently underway in Maricopa County.

In a letter (pdf) to former Secretary of State Ken Bennett, a Republican who is the state Senate’s liaison for the audit, Hobbs outlined 13 points of concern over how the audit is being run. This included seven points of concern over counting procedures that the state Senate and audit contractor Cyber Ninjas disclosed, as well as six points of concern over what her observers saw at the audit site.

Under terms of a lawsuit settlement filed on Wednesday, defendants Bennett, Arizona Senate President Karen Fann, and the lead auditor, Florida-based Cyber Ninjas have 48 hours to respond to Hobbs’ concerns. If the concerns are not addressed, Hobbs could take them back to court for breach of contract.

The audit began on April 23 and continues at Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix, a venue the auditors have booked and secured until May 14.

Hobbs, a Democrat, alleged that the procedures governing the audit do not ensure accuracy, security, and transparency.

“I’m not sure what compelled you to oversee this audit, but I’d like to assume you took this role with the best of intentions,” she told Bennett in the letter.

“It is those intentions I appeal to now: either do it right, or don’t do it at all.”

The Arizona Democratic Party filed a last-minute lawsuit against state Senate leadership to try to stop the audit from going ahead but their bid to immediately halt it was rebuffed by a judge. The settlement means the case has concluded.

“The settlement in ADP v Fann requires the Senate to have procedures to protect our ballots, election equipment, and data. Today, I put the Senate on notice that security shortfalls remain and must be addressed under the agreement,” Hobbs said in a statement.

The official Twitter account for the audit, run by Bennet’s team, said late on Wednesday that Hobbs “continues to make baseless claimes [sic] about this forensic audit but has never led an election audit in her entire career.”

The message declared, “The audit continues!”

The group furthermore encouraged Twitter users to retweet if they think audits are a state right. Another statement released later on Wednesday reads:

“Democrat [Secretary of State Katie Hobbs] who does not support election audits or transparency now wants the Federal Government to get involved in the Arizona Senate forensic audit. Arizona has the authority to conduct this audit without interference from the Feds!”

Bennett did not immediately respond to a request for comment over the contents of Hobbs’ letter.

"At his Senate confirmation hearing in January, Blinken continued to reassure by expressing his intention to fix the defects of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), as the Iran nuclear deal is known. The following month, Foreign Policy reported that a split had opened up inside the government, with Sullivan and Blinken fulfilling the hopes placed on them. When Malley argued in favor of giving “inducements” to Iran to convince it to return quickly to the JCPOA, Sullivan and Blinken “dominated the discussion” by “toeing a harder line.”

Over the past month, that line became even harder—as in harder to see. On April 2, Malley gave an interview to PBS that raised eyebrows in Jerusalem, Riyadh, and in Congress. Ahead of nuclear talks in Vienna, where the Europeans were about to host indirect negotiations between Biden officials and Iranian representatives about resurrecting the JCPOA, Malley expressed an eagerness to lift American sanctions on Iran and ensure “that Iran enjoys the benefits that it was supposed to enjoy under the deal.” About the interview, an anonymous senior Israeli official said, “If this is American policy, we are concerned.”

Israeli intelligence operatives put an exclamation point on that sentence when they (it seems clear) sabotaged a power generator at the Iranian nuclear enrichment facility in Natanz. While damaging Iran’s nuclear program, the operation also signaled Israeli opposition to the American position in the Vienna talks, now underway.

The alarm in Jerusalem is justified, if the May 1 statement by Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s lead negotiator in Vienna, is anything to go by. The American negotiators, he claimed, had already agreed in principle to remove sanctions on Iran’s energy sector, automotive industry, financial services, banking industry, and ports—to eliminate, in other words, all of the most significant economic sanctions ever imposed on Iran. Recent statements from Biden administration officials give us no reason to disbelieve Araghchi, and the smart money is now on a full resurrection of the JCPOA in relatively short order.

But even the Israelis have yet to absorb the full scope and magnitude of Biden’s accommodation of Iran. The problem is not that Sullivan and Blinken are failing to restrain Malley, but that they are marching in lockstep with him. A consensus reigns inside the administration, not just on the JCPOA but on every big question of Middle East strategy: Everyone from the president on down agrees about the need to complete what Obama started—which means that the worst is yet to come.

If the control that Obama’s project exercises over every mind in the Biden administration is not already obvious, it is because confusion still reigns about the project’s true nature. Doubt us? Then take the following one-question quiz: To what, precisely, was Robert Malley referring when he spoke of Obama’s half-completed “experiment”?

If you answered “the JCPOA,” you got it wrong.

If you said “improving relations with Iran,” you scored much higher, but you still failed.

The president’s “ultimate goal,” Malley wrote, was “to help the [Middle East] find a more stable balance of power that would make it less dependent on direct U.S. interference or protection.” That is a roundabout way of saying that Obama dreamed of a new Middle Eastern order—one that relies more on partnership with Iran.

And the dream lives on. In May 2020, six months after Malley penned his Foreign Affairs essay, Jake Sullivan, writing as an adviser to Biden’s presidential campaign, co-authored his own article laying out a Middle East strategy. The goal, he explained, is to be “less ambitious” militarily, “but more ambitious in using U.S. leverage and diplomacy to press for a de-escalation in tensions and eventually a new modus vivendi among the key regional actors.” If we substitute the word “balance” for “modus vivendi,” and if we recognize that “de-escalation” and “diplomacy” require cooperation with Iran, then Sullivan’s vision is identical to Obama’s “ultimate goal” as described by Malley. Sullivan emphasized that equivalence when he defined the objective of his plan as “changing the United States’ role in a regional order it helped create.”"

Poor UAW. They donate their money...they donate their time...their blind devotion to the DNC is staggering. What do they get in return for all of their efforts? ANOTHER kick in the ass!

The billionaire investor in 2009 landed a spot on former president Barack Obama's economic advisory board after donating thousands to the Democrat's campaign. Just months later, the administration approved a $529 million government loan to Fisker Automotive, an electric car manufacturer that considered Doerr's firm a "significant investor." Then-vice president Biden announced Fisker's plan to build cars in his home state of Delaware, promising a resurgence of "American manufacturing." The company went on to produce its vehicles in Finland and declared bankruptcy within years of receiving the taxpayer funds.

Nearly a decade after Fisker's taxpayer-funded failure, Biden is again heaping praise on green technology companies backed by major campaign donors and administration officials. In addition to Doerr—who steered at least $100,000 to Biden's campaign—three hedge fund partners who helped raise millions for Biden hold major financial stakes in Proterra. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm also holds up to $5 million in Proterra stock and served on the company's board for nearly four years.

They'll fall for this just like the windmills we're buying from China that they manufacture with slave labor! John Kerry is cool with that...because...Greta's "Global Warming" scarefest is the war the world needs to win.

During testimony before the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Kerry was pressed on his recent comments suggesting that China's ongoing genocide against the ethnic Uyghur minority should not "get in the way" of a climate deal. Some 80 percent of the world's solar panels are produced in China, and the United States has determined that at least a portion are made by Uyghur slave laborers in the country's Xinjiang province. Asked about the issue, Kerry was forced to publicly acknowledge that slave labor fuels the green energy market.

"You're absolutely correct. … It is a problem," Kerry said in response to questions from Rep. Michael McCaul (Texas), the committee's lead Republican. "Xinjiang province … produces some solar panels that we believe, in some cases, are being produced with forced labor by Uyghurs."

Biden pitches $174 bln EV plan in Michigan, takes truck for a spin

President Joe Biden made the case on Tuesday for his $174 billion electric-vehicle proposal, urging automakers not to build zero-emission vehicles abroad for U.S. consumers - and even got to take a new zero-emission truck out for a drive.

"We need automakers and other companies to keep investing here in America and not take the benefits of our public investments and expand electric vehicles and battery manufacturing abroad," Biden said on a visit to a Ford Motor Co (F.N) electric-vehicle plant in Dearborn, Michigan, to see the EV version of its best-selling F-150 pickup truck.

The United Auto Workers (UAW) has criticized General Motors Co (GM.N) for announcing a $1 billion investment in Mexico to build EVs and Ford for opting to build some EVs in Mexico rather than Ohio.

GM noted it had recently announced nearly 9,000 new U.S. jobs and $9 billion in U.S. EV and battery facilities. Ford Executive Chairman Bill Ford said at the event that Biden "understands that building things in this country matters" and added the company employs more UAW workers than its Detroit rivals.

The UAW also wants GM to recognize the union at joint-venture battery facilities. Ford is considering similar ventures. "We need you to deepen your partnership with the UAW," Biden added.

UAW President Rory Gamble urged Biden to make sure investment encourages strong labor standards, good union jobs and U.S.-built vehicles.

Biden argues the United States is falling behind China, which is selling more EVs.

"We're going to set a new pace for electric vehicles," the Democratic president said, vowing to reverse what he called the Trump administration's "short-sighted" rollback of vehicle emissions standards.

"This sucker's quick," Biden told reporters, adding it could go from 0-60 miles an hour in just 4.4 seconds. "It feels great."

REBATES, TAX CREDITS

Biden ruled out consumer incentives for high-priced electric luxury models, according to a White House fact sheet, as he argues for dramatic government spending to prod Americans to buy electric vehicles.

His electric-vehicle plan, first announced on March 31, cheered investors who bought shares in several electric-vehicle startups that have struggled. Shares in electric truck maker Lordstown Motors Corp (RIDE.O) rose more than 20% and shares in Nikola Corp (NKLA.O)were up more than 6% in late trading.

Biden is pushing for electric vehicles in the auto industry's heartland, and trying to win over auto workers worried that more electric cars and trucks will mean fewer jobs.

The White House wants to encourage new battery production facilities, which are key to ramping up U.S. electric vehicle manufacturing.

Biden's plan "proposes cost-sharing grants to support new high capacity battery facilities in the United States" and backs grants to fund the retooling of shuttered factories "to build advanced vehicles and parts."

The centerpiece of Biden's EV plan is $100 billion in consumer rebates. read more Biden backs a further $10 billion in new tax credits for zero-emission medium- and heavy-duty work vehicles.

Biden faces resistance from many congressional Republicans on his EV focus. Republicans are poised to release a counterproposal to Biden's infrastructure plan and Republicans will meet with Biden's commerce and transportation chiefs later on Capitol Hill. read more

The president wants $15 billion to build 500,000 EV charging stations by 2030 - including in apartment buildings and public parking - and $45 billion to electrify a significant number of school and transit buses. He also wants to fund shifting the federal fleet to more EVs, including for the Postal Service to begin using EV delivery trucks.

What Reuters failed to cover but was said at this event...

With Biden in the driver's seat, a reporter asked the president if he would take a quick question about Israel, which has been engaged in more than week of airstrikes with Hamas.

"No, you can’t. Not unless you get in front of the car as I step on it," Biden said, prompting a few laughters from reporters. "I’m only teasing.”

"OK, here we go. Ready?” Biden continued

NY Times: Slow Joe Getting Slower

The New York Times has a remarkable story out this weekend that offers its typical “behind the scenes” construction of how the White House operates—in this case, under President Biden. While the story tries to soften the blows with lots of fluff and filler, it paints a devastating picture of Biden for the careful reader. It explains he has a quick temper, takes a long time to make decisions, and needs to be heavily propped up by staff to function. It reminds us that Biden is indeed a creature of the Senate, where he mostly attended hearings, made speeches, fiddled with legislation, and seldom made any decisions that suggested executive skill (Quick—can anyone name a major piece of Biden legislation? The crime bill of 1994? Likely written mostly by the Clinton Justice Department. The bankruptcy reform bill of 2007? Likely written largely by Delaware-based banks. You get the picture.)

Here’s one early paragraph:

On policy issues, Mr. Biden, 78, takes days or weeks to make up his mind as he examines and second-guesses himself and others. It is a method of governing that can feel at odds with the urgency of a country still reeling from a pandemic and an economy struggling to recover.

One passage details weeks and weeks of meetings, briefings, and deliberations about how to confront Putin, culminating with this astonishing paragraph:

In the end, Mr. Biden called Mr. Putin directly and then delivered a public statement on Russia sanctions that lasted only five minutes and 49 seconds. For as much as Mr. Biden projects an aura of ease — with his frequent backslapping, references to Irish poetry and liberal use of the phrase “c’mon, man” — his aides say it takes a lot of behind-the-scenes work to prepare him to project an assured demeanor.

The subtext of the first sentence here is that Biden is simply not up to the give-and-take of a conversation with a foreign leader. No wonder Vice President Harris seems to be the person who is making personal contact with foreign leaders.

The timing of the Times story is interesting, as Biden’s “honeymoon” period looks to be over, his ambitious legislative and spending agenda is in trouble on Capitol Hill, and multiple self-induced crises are piling up in ways that bring back memories of the ineptitude of Jimmy Carter.

Hunter Biden brought VP Joe to dinner with shady business partners

"Joe Biden met with Ukrainian, Russian and Kazakhstani business associates of his son’s at a dinner in Washington, DC, while he was vice president, records on Hunter Biden’s abandoned laptop show.

The dinner, on April 16, 2015, was held in the private “Garden Room” at Café Milano, a Georgetown institution whose catchphrase is: “Where the world’s most powerful people go.”

The next day, Hunter received an email from Vadym Pozharskyi, an executive of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma, to thank him for introducing him to his father.

“Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together,” Pozharskyi wrote on April 17, 2015.

“It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure.”

At the time, Burisma was paying Hunter $83,333 a month to sit on its board.

The guest list prepared by Hunter three weeks before the Café Milano dinner included Russian billionaire Yelena Baturina and her husband, corrupt former Moscow mayor Yury Luzhkov, who since has died. Baturina wired $3.5 million on Feb. 14, 2014, to Rosemont Seneca Thornton LLC, a Delaware-based investment firm co-founded by Hunter and Devon Archer, a former adviser to Secretary of State John Kerry."

AT EASE, JOE! Biden slammed for ‘creepy’ comments about veteran’s daughter as he compliments little girl’s legs & says she ‘looks 19’

President Joe Biden had another awkward moment on Friday after he complimented a little girl's appearance at a Virginia military base.

"I love those barrettes in your hair, man," Biden told the girl. "I tell you what, look at her, she looks like she’s 19 years old, sitting there like a little lady with her legs crossed."

The little girl, who appeared to be no older than an elementary student, was accompanied by her parents and two older brothers on stage.

Biden was introduced by the girl's mom at the Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Hampton, Virginia.

The president's remarks were quickly picked up on social media, drawing the attention of many of his critics.

Nathan Wurtzel, a Republican consultant, tweeted "That’s pretty *&^%$!ed up."

Wurtzel followed up in a subsequent tweet: "I guess that explains the Lincoln Project support."

People commenting on Biden's remarks didn't just stop there.

RealClearPolitics co-founder Tom Bevan tweeted "um, wut" while Ricochet's Jon Gabriel tweeted "dude has issues."

Other reactions were even more succinct.

Conservative podcast host Stephen Miller even posted a photo of Kathy Bates from the movie Misery and captioned it: "This is going to be his last straw. We're not going to see him for the next two weeks."

This isn't the first time the president has made awkward remarks onstage.

While serving as vice-president, Biden stood behind Ash Carter's wife Stephanie in 2015 while Carter was sworn in as defense secretary.

He then held Stephanie's shoulders and whispered something in her ear.

That same year, Biden gave Senator Chris Coons' 13-year-old daughter a kiss on the forehead after swearing in Coons.

His personal effects have been the subject of accusations during the presidential campaign, with women accusing him of inappropriate contact.

He then released a campaign video promising to "be more mindful and respectful of people’s personal space."

From The Border...

"Seeing no solutions to the border crisis from the federal government, some counties are looking at all possible means to rein in the high-speed vehicle pursuits, trespassing, break-ins, vehicle thefts, and other crimes that are increasing in their communities.

“I’m going to start here, locally. If we catch them, we’re going to start prosecuting these people that are trespassing on y’all’s property,” Kinney County Sheriff Brad Coe told an appreciative crowd in Brackettville, Texas, on May 22. “And whatever other legitimate charge we can stack on there to try to deter them from coming to Kinney County. We’re going to try to hold these people accountable.”

Neighboring Edwards County is doing the same.

Coe said his county would start charging for trespassing on June 1. He provided ranchers with a form that would authorize the sheriff to file charges on their behalf if someone is caught on their property—saving the rancher from coming into town to press charges every time a trespasser is caught. For many local ranchers, it’s a daily occurrence."

Remember when Clinton weaponized the AG? Then Obama did it as well?

Well, rumblin' stumbin' bumblin' O'Biden is no different!

AG Merrick Garland Announces DAG Lisa Monaco Will Lead DOJ Effort to Frame Political Opposition as Domestic Terrorists, Equates January 6th DC Protest to 1995 Oklahoma City Bombing

The coordination of narrative engineering across all agencies of the U.S. government is quite remarkable. Today Attorney General Merrick Garland announced that Deputy AG Lisa Monaco (Obama crew) will lead a “whole of government” effort to label any political opposition to the Biden regime as “domestic terrorists”.

To facilitate that objective, Garland announced that DAG Monaco is reconstituting “the domestic terrorism executive committee“, an investigative agency process used in the aftermath of the Oklahoma bombing in 1995. Additionally, Garland is noting the January 6th Capitol Hill protest was the current equivalent of the 1995 bombing that killed 168 people and injured 680. The Domestic Terrorism committee, led by Monaco, will focus their efforts at ensuring the center of U.S. government is never again put at risk.

You only need to watch the first 4 minutes of the video below to see the framework of the narrative being deployed. Garland’s statements align with Nancy Pelosi’s legislative demand to weaponize a January 6th Commission for the same political intents and purposes. [White House Announcement Here]

As announced the Biden administration will use the opportunity of the protest against the 2020 election outcome to set into place various multi-agency monitoring systems to “identify threats”, “monitor behaviors” and “conduct surveillance” on all Americans, in effort to identify the “domestic extremists”. This, they hope, will help eliminate any political push-back in the upcoming 2022 mid-term election.

The purpose of this announcement should be crystal clear to everyone. We discussed and outlined the background previously. {Go Deep 1} and {Go Deep Two}

In the background of these maneuvers Big Tech and Corporate Media have been instructed to push the “domestic extremist” narrative; and any truth-tellers are considered subversive, ie. against the interests of the U.S. government.

The January 6th DC protest is being used as evidence for that narrative. Deplatforming, censorship and ultimately control of voices who would warn of the larger issues continues daily.

Let me be very clear… stop and hear the drums… Something is about to happen. Approximately 100 million American voters are considered dissidents now.
