I need to do one of them sleep study things. Where they monitor your sleep? I wake up far too many times during the night.

My doctor told me that I should have one done, but then said,
"Let's be honest here, John . . . If need be, would you wear the CPAP apparatus ? Because if you're not going to wear it, then there's no sense in wasting your time getting the study done."
Needless to say, I never had the study.
First world problems I guess.
The summer/winter thing was the idea all along but since the two houses are only 90 miles apart we have been going back and forth weekly for maintenance on both. Iffn I wasn’t such a cheap bastid I would hire landscapers and pool guys but I don’t like waiting a week or longer to fix something that needs attention. Thinking one place needs to be a condo but I need space to be outside to have a couple cigars, etc.

Do you enjoy Living in the valley that much?
Or is it the cold January’s in the mountains that put you off of being in your scenic locale year round?

I won't... quit working too early. I had a very good gig, as far as money goes, but I hated it... so I stopped.
If wife stops working later this year, she'll be home with the pup and I'll go do something.
Does the money go faster than you think? (My biggest fear)
What is the motivation for going back into the workforce?
How much do you need, really? My point was not that I'm strapped for money, I'm not. I haven't even touched my 457b and I can if I need/want to.
My point was I will not be rich. I want a nice fishing boat. I can take the money out of the 457 and get one... but then I will have the snot taxed out of me... and a chunk of that security blanket will be missing.
My friend made an interesting point to me, though. He said what are you gonna do, leave that money there until you're 75 and you're too old to enjoy it?
I get bored some days. Most of my friends are still working and that cuts into the social life. Work is part of your social life, whether you realize it or not.
I thought the number one rule of money was that it goes faster than you'd think

I thought that was cocaine?
Don't do it, it's a trap to keep you from buying a boat!
