Obviously a little Garth Brooks, cause he announced he is playing a Dive Bar Concert at my bar in San Jose in December!!!
Good chance I will be there smoking cigars and drinking on the patio, like 70 feet away!!!

A Christmas Gift for You from Phil Spector - Various Artists

Ronnie Spector and Darlene Love could sing a 1951 Studebaker service manual and I'd listen.

Rick, you're breaking my heart. IF I evah saw any of those great bands I was so gone I have no memory!
Great bands. Great links...

I did get to see Swallow with blind front man George Leh, I think before their album Out of The Nest came out (they were living in a house in my town, Newton, MA, back then...late 60's).
Also went to H.S. with highly regarded keyboard maven and production star Jeff Levine who played with just about everyone and is still in the biz. Nice kid, never was close with him but good guy.

I knew Marc Sandman a little better from H.S. (he was a year older, his sister was in my class). He fronted Treat Her Right which morphed into Morphine! He died during a show on stage (maybe Germany) years ago, heart attack I think.

Yep,I'm a big fan of Mark Sandman...I actually started to put them on this list, but
Roomful of Blues won out.
... I have Treat Her Right's first 2 albums. I heard "I Think She Likes Me" at
work late one night, when it first came out, and bought it the next day on my way to work.
... Roomful of Blues were kinda the house band at the East Bridgewater Commercial Club, back in the late
70s, back when Duke Robillard was their guitarist.
...Incredible each and every time...he was then
replaced by Ronnie Earl, and they didn't miss a beat...may have even been better IMHO

Paul McCartney - McCartney

"Man We Was Lonely"

I was reminded of this while watching "Get Back". Paul reminding himself that his better half could hold a (semblance of) tune and his time with the Beatles...the "We" in this song.
