H Upmann Regalias 2001 (JM NISE) Surprisingly tasty after all these years. I got this box from Julian years ago when he liquidated his stash. I have tried most of the machine made Habanos at one time or another but these rival many of the hand rolled in their flavor and longevity.

The best Cuban experience I have ever had was a machine made and cellophane wrapped gifted to me by Chuckler. He said he bought them at an auction *from which I pressume they were pre-embargo). Wish I had saved the band. Wish he was still around on the boards too.

PLPC 2016 - a dash of flowers and whole bunch of graham crackers. Gonna be sad when this cab is empty.

Cohoba Secretos Maduro LAU OCT 16 - very nice, but got distracted and had to relight twice.
Trinidad La Trova 19 - underfilled, was ok at times but had to do the cuban crush through the last half to make it smokeable. Have had a lot of issues with this particular vitola or at least this particular box, pretty bummed considering the price.

I have two empty box-like humidors (200-300 count). Yesterday, I opened one of the unused boxes and took the tray out. I found 30+ single Havanas of all makes, shapes and sizes- hard as a rock. Turns out I forgot about them because they were the part of my collection with torn and repaired wrappers, head damage and some in otherwise perfect condition that I just didn't like years ago, but are certainly worthy of another try. They are all 10-20+ years old by now. I have had good success rehabbing cigars that were dried out and dense like a stick of wood, like these are. They will never be 100% again, but I'll take whatever I get since nothing will require me to smoke them if I don't like them. Low and slow for about 3-4 months should do it. Any other advice?

It's getting very hard to find these discontinued babies but they are definitely worth the search.

Beginning to enjoy these for what they are and are not. Mild-med with a unique taste. Pinar del Rio tobacco but different profile from others.

To sound like an absolute newbie, any suggestions on where to begin my journey into the CC world?
I’ve only smoked a few interesting partagas

Start at the beginning. Smoke to the end.

Honestly I would have recommended Partagas or Bolivar. Others run the risk of being too mild for my tastes
