Meandering through David Bowie’s “Best of” and testing the volume level my wife will allow. 😰

Acclimate her slowly, like the boiling a frog in water line. Do it right and ya might even have her on your side when the neighbors complain

One of next door neighbors is hardly home. On average they return after their workday after 9 pm during the week and sometimes both are out on the weekends. This allows me to close the bedroom door and crank it up a little louder. And then there are the times my wife goes out for her 30 minute (almost) daily walk….

While playing Bowie last night, I realized I need to find the box of CDs with my SRV albums. The four cuts on the “Best of” whetted my appetite for more from “Let’s Dance” and the, at that time, unknown young guitarist. Speaking of which, back in the vinyl record days, when “LD” first came out, my friends and I were immediately drawn to the lead guitarist and when “Texas Flood” came out a few months later, we were fans for life.

My personal favorite of Bowie's catalog comes off of Let's Dance.

It capitalizes on the quirky. The drumming, the bassline and SRV with Bowie crooning.

"Palace Of OKV In Reverse"

Always admired his music, this album has his feet planted firmly in Velvet Underground territory and I like it.

3rd spin already.

The Tar Babies.

Local (regional) college band from Madison.

Wisdom Drill at about the 22:00 mark on their No Contest album.

Their Honey Bubble album was a favorite of mine too.

I'm regretting selling vinyl collection for a buck a each.

A mix CD of ‘80s music while trying to dial in the Brilliance and Presence controls on my speakers.
