Tall, spindly legs. Didn't get a great look, but it had a small set of antlers. Not sure how many points. Wife and I were looking at it, watched a cat sh*t itself and bolt... Tank had his nose to the ground (as usual) so I don't think he saw it until it was headed through the yard.

When he sees small game, like armadillos, geese, ducks, cats... he wants to chase. He chases the small lizards and kills them and leaves 'em there. Would love to see what he'd do with an iguana. My guess is - "crunch"... "shake"... dead.

Another day of leaf blowing and dog walking. Good to have 12,000 steps in the bank by noon.
Winds are up today on our way to another 70 we don't deserve.
Tomorrow through the weekend it is looking like cold (seasonal) temps and 2-3 inches of rain.

Great nap weather.

Finally caught one of the skunks. But it was a lil juvenile. I think momma skunk moved in mid summer to have her babies and this was one of them. Didn't have much stink to it, but I got it with a clean killshot don't think it had time to spray.

Dug around the garage and shed and found two more traps. Chained em to trees baited and set em.

I been slacking on the critter culling. Think I've only shot one raccoon since last spring and that wasn't even a trap kill. That was the rooster woke me up at 3am and I went outside in my underpants to find a fat raccoon trying to pry the roof open again. Must've been the fugger that got in through the roof 2 years ago and killed everything. Shot him from the deck and went back to bed.

Cause I been slacking, I won't be surprised to catch three a night for a while.

If only they were good eating. Seems like such a waste tossing 50lbs of meat in the compost pile every week

Got my seasonal flu shot, not COVID, at my allergy Doc's office yesterday. Holly cow, I feel worse than when I had COVID. This is the first time I'v ever had much of a reaction to a flu shoy. mayve feverish and a sore arm. This time I feel like crap and I've got crud draining that is causeing a lot of coughing. Ithought I had COVID again, so I took a COVID test, but it was negative.

Gene Rebound Friday. Am all for that.
Spoiled with a couple more hours of early September weather before we the November Wisconsin awakens mid morning.
Average high today is 48. Current temperature is 63.
Need to get the greyhound moving.
Four hours of leaf management over the last two days provided the benefit of a combined 22.5 miles of walking.

Good Friday Morning! It's an overcast 51° on the way to 78° today.

I had to replace my Mac Mini to run the current version of tax preperation software. A macbook air is at our local Costco, but I don't feell like making the trip. I'm felling better than yesterday, but not great.

Morning gents. Kinda cold this morning since a front passed yesterday. 43/63 and sunny.

We closed on the mountain house sale yesterday. A little sad and happy at the same time but the unsolicited offer was just too good to pass up. Haven't decided what to do with the loot but there is going to be a big capitol gains tax to calculate first.

I made burgers yesterday pan fried in wagyu beef tallow.

I also fried my right hand. Immediately wrapped it in ice and kept it iced for about 6 hours. It's a balloon this morning. Can only use my left hand. 700 degree oil on skin isn't the best idea.
