Put on a mixed CD that starts out with 4 Steely Dan songs. “Reelin’ in the Years”, “Bodhisattva”, “Show Biz Kids” and “My Old School.” Turned the volume up to an acceptable level but gonna slowly see how much is too much for the wife.

Edit: A few minutes ago, for s&g, I used my MIL’s shower chair to elevate one of the speakers and damn! what a difference! Then used a footstool for the other one and while it’s not as high, having both off the floor has made a world of difference. I’m gonna have to get really serious about making or getting some stands.

Edit #2: the last song on the disc is “High Tides and Green Grass”. As soon as I heard the first chords I immediately thought of Bill…. 😢
