The extra foot would make a good fish processing board or a couple of cutting boards.

Had to cut it on my tailgate with the neighbor's circular saw. Apparently Home Depot doesn't cut butcher block. It's 1.5" thick and the kid said they do as much as 1" but no more... won't fit. Hmmmmmmm... don't sound right to me, but we got it done and it's straight as an arrow.
