I don't think I'll ever buy a boat. Thought I wanted one for a while, came real close to buying one before we got our camper. But without lakefront property I'd never use it and I can't afford a Lake Michigan size boat.

20/50 today- about 1/2 inch of snow early this morning and rain coming in the late afternoon. High for the day coming late tonite with the heavy rain.Uconn women clobbered St. John's last night 82-52 with 6 of the 8 eligible players scoring in double figures. Nice to see the leading scorer back in the line-up for 20 minutes of play.

I bought a cheap one that did exactly what I needed it to do on the ocean. I just had to be real vigilant about keeping track of the weather and wave height. Boat was 20' long and had a single 115hp mercury outboard. 26 gallon bait tank and a fish finder that was useless in water deeper than 300'.

BUT - took me 30 miles offshore where I was catching the same tuna the big, expensive boats were catching. 😎

So no more boats? What about Cap'n Shawn and the charter? Hope you are still planning to fish some.

Hell no I didn't "give up" fishing. I'm doing a little more fresh water than I was before and I'll get back to the ocean fishing soon enough. Need to figure some stuff out, first.

There's only 1 charter boat in Jax and it's not going out again until February 18. Missed an opportunity to go on a private boat, but hopefully that rolls around again.

Old navy buddy in the area has a bass boat and knows the fresh water scene... talked to him today.

Good Friday the 13th to all! It's 48° on the way to 54° today, had a heck of a thunderstorm last night and the river is high.

Enjoying coffee made from some Costa Rican beans roasted two days ago, mixed with Gurarmalian beans from my previous roast.
