A CNN Republican commentator has condemned Kamala Harris for speaking out against Florida's new school curriculum, saying her anger at the course discussing how slaves 'benefitted' was misguided and calling the scandal 'fabricated.'
Harris was in Jacksonville, Florida, Saturday and condemned the new curriculum, which was unveiled on July 19.
The Florida Board of Education's new state academic standards for social studies states that students should be taught 'how slaves developed skills, which, in some instances, could be applied for their personal benefit'.

The uneducated and historically inept would have you believe that all da slaves did all day was pick da cotton as unskilled zombies and got whipped if they didn't. The truth is that after their African brothers captured them and sold them to the slave traders like the New Englanders, some already had valuable skills as craftsman in woodworking, pottery, metalwork and fabrics. The Yankee slave traders didn't teach anybody anything but, on the plantation a skilled slave had an enormous advantage over the common laborer or domestic servant. So, learning skills was important. Every large plantation was like an industrial village with skilled craftsman like blacksmiths, carpenters, coopers, stonemasons, millers. shoemakers and artisans.
It wasn't unheard of a skilled slave or a domestic being hired out or even earning some cash themselves with their master's permission. Some even earned enough money to buy their freedom.
But idjuts like Kamala are OUTRAGED the people should be exposed to these truths, 'how slaves developed skills, which, in some instances, could be applied for their personal benefit'. She turns the truth inside out and whines that the poor chillens are being taught 'enslaved people benefited from slavery'!
