Since her pre-school is still on Spring Break, we took our youngest granddaughter (...almost 5 years old...) to the Honolulu Zoo this morning. She was REALLY happy to be going since she'd been there before but as a toddler so doesn't remember anything. Skies were overcast so it wasn't beatdown hot but certainly humid. About 45 minutes in, she said she was starting to feel tired. Ten minutes later she asked when we were going home. Asked what else she wanted to see and she said "Giraffes" so we walked around looking for them. Found 'um, she took a quick glance and then asked if I could carry her and go home. I know moments like this will almost never come around again so picked her up and said we were going back to the car. Later she said it was the best week of her life! Tomorrow we're gonna take her to the Waikiki Aquarium so I guess the best week ever got even bester! 😁
