Too far north for HD to make a comfortable day trip.
More like Orlando is in the middle. My house and its amenities, including bedrooms, are always an option, if not one of the Corona Cigar Lounges running up and down I-4 for like 30 miles.

I'll start looking at airfares and couch surf at your place. Just don't make me eat gefilte fish. Fish is yucky. Although fun to catch and fishing as a hobby or vacation... it still tastes yucky.

That like 2...2.5 hrs away from each other straight down I-95!

Orlando pulls you into into the dreaded I-4 corridor. Albeit Corona on Sand Lake is a wonderful place to herf at.

Mebbe you just haven’t had correctly cooked / prepared fish? 🤐

Grew up on fish, raw, fried, steamed, baked, etc. and in my youth never knew any local person that didn’t eat fish. But, my part-Hawaiian neighbor across the street, like you, loves to catch fish but doesn’t eat it. And our SIL’s family doesn’t eat RAW fish, and they’re part-Hawaiian too!

In your neck of the woods is a pizza shop near St. Augustine that has been featured on several different foody shows and also consistently wins like 1st or 2nd in every pizza contest in the country. Son drove from O to SA just to try it. Said it was worth the drive. If you want the name, LMK.

Of course I want the name of it. St. Augustine is only 45 minutes away and we have been a few times already.

Yeah... was wondering what rfenst was thinking. I can drive to Key west in like, 8 hours.

If there will be shenanigans at this St. A herf, such as imbibing libations... a hotel is always an option.

Convenient local for you, eh?
Anyone know of any great cigar places in St. Augustine- if you can fit that round-trip into a day?
There is always Ybor with Columbia, La Segunda, Fuente and so much more that I am sure I don't know about, but you do.

Key West?
Why the hell down there?
It's too far away and will definitely require at least one night overnight, making it rather spendy.
Little Havana if anything down that way, but don't see why...

I wasn't saying to herf in Key West, I'm just saying nowhere in the state is really too far. I can go from the top to the bottom in a day. Herf's of a certain magnitude shouldn't be day trips. They should be at least an overnighter.

Believe me, I've tried to like eating fish. In WI most fish dinners are fresh water fish like perch, walleye, bluegill, trout. Battered and deep fried. Here in MA, it's cod and haddock.

I've tried them all and add in salmon, tuna, swordfish and everything in between. Tried clams, mussels, lobster, crab... it all tastes like fish to me. There may be part of my brain that is broken that doesn't like seafood. There are many parts of my brain that are broken so the seafood one is another on the list.

Been thinking lately to give it a go again and buy some salmon steaks. Salt, pepper, rosemary pan fried with butter and a squeeze of lemon after it's done.

Lawn mowed, half a bag of milorganite down, sprayed some hose-end non-slow release food. The Bermuda should start taking over the areas left brown from killing off the winter grass.

Gotta submit some piss for for drug screen in the morning for the new job. No worries, the hardest drug in system is nicotine. Just gotta remember to not pee in the morning when I wake up so I have something in the tank for them to sample.
