Ha! You brought back a memory...
When I was a little kid, my parents accidentally tucked two $20 bills under my pillow while I was asleep in my dark bedroom, thinking that they were just two $1 bills. Bad mistake by the tooth fairy!
The next morning, while I was excitedly running around showing everyone the $20 bills the tooth fairy left me, my mom gasped, snatched the $20s out of my hands, and gave me two $1 bills instead. I was just as happy because I was too young to really know what the different denomminations meant.
Could have been truly expensive.
This was during the mid to late 60' and two $20 bills back then would be the present value equivalent of something like $300-400.
