Bought my mom a new car Monday. In and out of the dealership in like two hours, including checking out models and test drives. Honda CRV-EX.
Wife had major foot surgery yesterday. Bunions on big toe and little toe. Microplates and screws on both sides. She's got to lay in bed for five days and I will be waiting on her "hand and foot."
Had a lot of difficulty finding a pharmacy that hadn't been waiting several weeks for a shipment of post-op strength painkillers that never comes in. Could only find hydrocodone 5/350, which is a total joke for the pain associated with the major procedure she underwent.
Trying to get her doc to prescribe something stronger (oxycodone) for a few days, but it is hard to find here in town right now. As a result, he should have simply prescribed three days of dilaudid and everything would be going as well as could be expected.
Now, he wants her adding tylenol every few hours, which will result in her exceeding the daily dosage limit for her liver. He also wants her to add-on ibuprofen, but she already takes baby aspirin as a blood thinner. My suggestion is to admit her to the hospital for a day or two for pain management (like he should have). Hopefully, this will pass starting today or tomorrow. 🙏
I think I am going to have to be driving her to and from work for like 4-6 weeks until she is fully weight bearing again. It will all be worth it if it cuts down most of the pain she has been living with for years.
