Yeah, you think y'all got it bad? It's hot as a half-screwed fox in a forest fire and my AC fan doesn't want to switch from low speed to any other speed.
Trane is the brand. Called a couple places. One guy asked for a picture of the plate with the serial and model numbers... got back to me and told me it is under warranty until 2028, and it's a good thing because it has a variable speed fan... and they're $1500-$2000. Still gonna cost me around $500 for labor.
The other place was servicing the AC under the old owner and told me it was not under warranty. Huh? The house is 5 years old. I'm gonna go with the guy doing the services under warranty, tyvm.
Ain't nothing getting done until Monday at the earliest... and that's if he can find a motor for it locally. 😣
It's 78 inside. Never really got warmer than 80 inside yesterday. If that holds, I'll be ayite... got a portable in the bedroom, but it's louder than I remember. #-o
