I have an odd urge for a couple hot dogs. I don't have any though. I'll have to put them on the shopping list. I'd either steam them, grill or boil them when I cook them at home, Not a huge fan of hot dogs but when eaten at baseball or hockey games they hard to pass up (maybe it's the atmosphere), Sometimes the craving for a hotdog pops into my brain.

The best hot dogs I've had were deep fried from a food truck. They were super yummy.

I'm not a fan of corndogs, Give me a hot dog without ketchup, various relishes or mustard,. Just a straight up hotdog on a bun with some diced onion, maybe some hot sauce then a bag of chips and a root beer or ginger ale and I'm good,

Totally need to get some hot dogs next time I go food shopping.

Hot dogs!

I just did a final taste comparison between Hebrew National and Sabrette deli dogs. Sab won on both size and taste. Nathan's sucks in comparison. Want to test Vienna too, but can't find it locally...

Best buns, IMO, are the Dutch yellow potato ones that stay fresh and moist, and without mold for over a week.

I always boil. Steam the bun only when it's a bit too dried out. Then, roll it in tinfoil to let it steam and heat-up the bun for a couple minutes before eating. As far as toppings go, I do not do any unless it is Detroit Style Coney Island Chili and chopped onions.

I am a connoisseur in my own mind!

Wife has a one-hour business meeting right now.

Then we head down to Boca Raton to my daughter's place for two nights.

Morning folks. No way to describe the Alaskan scenery except fantastic in every direction you look. Passed seven named glaciers on the drive from Girdwood down to Seward yesterday.

We have a booking for a helicopter trip to one today and the fjords iffn the weather cooperates. Spent a few hours at a wildlife sanctuary. Musk ox are uglier than buffaloes 🦬.

Awesome, Alaska is gorgeous. I hope the weather cooperates for the helo trip. We were lucky enough to get our first helicopter ride in Juneau to the Mendenhall Glacier. Glaciers have little pools and rivilets of water on the surface with the most beautyful shade of blue you'll ever see.

I've taken lots of Helicopter rides... none of them to a glacier, though. 😟

CH-56, CH-47, SH-60 and a UH-3H Desert Duck.

Those are some awesome rides though. Just a Eurocopter AS350 Écureuil for us, but it was fun.

Our older son made a couple of trips in CH-47 helicopters, old and leaky.

We finally had good weather and we got in a long hike that took us within a few hundred yards of the calving terminus of the Exit glacier.

Later we were able to get in a helicopter ride of one hour landing on another glacier and ice field.

Fantastic day!
