I've taken lots of Helicopter rides... none of them to a glacier, though. 😟

CH-56, CH-47, SH-60 and a UH-3H Desert Duck.

Never rode on on helicopter. Although I have phobia of heights, I don't mind flying. It's kinda weird.

When I was younger I seriously thought about getting my license to pilot and get a degree in aeronautic engineering. One of my hobbies when I was young was to make model airplanes. I had a bunch of them handing on my ceiling in my bedroom. My favorite from the WWII area are the P-51 Mustang, the P-38 Lightning. The Spitfire is also on the list. And that's just the European theater. Tons of great planes in the Pacific theater too both from the good guys and the bad guys.

The A-10 Warthog is an awesome plane. That's also in my top 10 of favorite planes.

I spent about 4 years building some ATFLIR targeting units for the A-18 Hornet back in the day of the Gulf War. Loved that job and learned a lot on how fiber optic gyroscopes and accelerometers work. The technology could put a missile or laser guided bomb into a something as small as car from while the plane was 60 miles away (pubic knowledge but nonpublic knowledge is it's more accurate than that).

I love planes and helicopters from WWII to the present.

With that said, I'd likely turn into a fainting goat if I had to go parachuting,

Rains here all the damn time. But everything is green and lush.

Screw rain! It’s 42 and drizzle in Seward. Lucky to get in one partially dry day so far on this trip. We need to be back in Anchorage this evening so on the road again.

Spent an hour watching fishermen catch silver salmon one after another from the shore near the mouth of a small river . Most were 5-10 lbs . I asked one guy what he does with all his catch and he said he sells most to the local restaurants for around $2 lb and they get about $50 lb selling dinners to tourists.

He said he can easily make $100 per hour when they are running.

In Boca Raton through tonight.
Woke up at like 6am and nobody else was awake so I went to the nearby LA Fitness to swim laps.
Taking my daughter's fiancé to a cigar bar to smoke and relax.
That, spending time with my family and Rosh Hashana (Jewish New Year) Dinner are the rest of my day! 🇨🇮

Taking the train is better than driving between Seward and Anchorage. We did that last year after a cruise.
