8trizzle...

Depending on her age and finances, she might be better off with a lease.

Factory-set price. No haggling. Cheaper each month than buying, builds equity (at least Honda's do). I did this for my mom who is 85. Who knows if she'll even be driving in three years?

I have had like 4 new cars over the last 7 years. I have never put a single penny down on a lease. and have rolled my equity over each lease. I presently have $6,000 in equity and have moved up 2 levels to a very nice car that is just 2.5 years old.

Also, this is a great time of year to get a good deal on a 2003 model.

Others will disagree with this. YMMV.

At 20 years old, would the car be considered "vintage"?

I do enjoy Jethro Tull music. I used to have a bunch of their albums on vinyl but I sold them off back in the day and went to MP3 (in hindsight that was a wrong choice). I have the whole collection on MP3 and listen to them. I'm not sure Ian Anderson is in the stupid Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but if not, he should be.

They did a lot of great music and great lyrics. A good entry level of Jethro Tull is Thick As A Brick and Aquualung. Rock and Roll with a flute??? That doesn't happen much. The lyrics make you think and reflect on stuff. At least it has done for me.

Side note, HockeyDad missed a nine.

I'm a wee bit older than you but that don't make me more right than you, that said I loved Tull's first three albums I believe between 1968 and 1970...

This Was
Stand Up (beautiful wood carving on the album)
Benefit

Found them to be tighter, more focused, and their jazzy/blues rock was cleaner (for lack of a better word) than the giant music that followed. Also some personnel changes early on may have influenced the path they chose

Saw them in Syracuse, I think, circa 1972 and was let down with the new direction.
Just never cared for what followed.

Joe Bonamassa does a true cover of A New Day Yesterday well worth a listen

Mornin' Rambo and dudes...

I never cared for Jethro Tull as a kid, but damned if I don't like some of it now. Locomotive Breath, Aqualung, Cross eyed Mary... to name a few.

My circadian rhythm won't let me sleep in. Been up since about 6. Weather says on and off rain during the morning and should clear up around noon with highs in the low 60's. Yep fall is upon us,

Fall festival today downtown.

Family-friendly street festival. The downtown is transformed into a pedestrian shopping and entertainment area. Local shops, restaurants, and businesses display their merchandise on the streets. Vendor tents line the streets including crafters, novelties, non-profit agencies, and food trucks. Entertainment includes games, music, inflatable jumping structures, costumed characters, face painting and stuff.

Might walk down there or hop on the bike to go check it out if the weather cooperates. One of the favorites is the homemade chair luge. There is a small hill downtown and they do this chair luge (non powered go-cart thing) race. It's pretty funny to watch. Who is gonna make it to the final race and which go-cart is gonna crash or smack into the hay bails along the way?

There is two stages with local bands playing music. Maybe, if time is right and my aim is on, I'll buy a few balls for the dunk tank and soak the Mayor. Local brew pub will have a beer tent and food and I can grab a bratwurst. Maybe the bratwurst thing is when they do the October Fest thing, I forget.

Got a Chomebook and a Windows laptop that I need to set up too but that might be a tomorrow thing.

Robert how were you able to lease with "no money down on a lease ?
Every lease I see by Honda or others require a down payment on the lease!?!

RAM, just tell them zero down and to work the deal out that way, if one of the deals offered isn't already zero down. These have all been Honda published factory specials at my local dealerships. YMMV
