Learned more about the iconic (at least in Wisconsin) Green Bay Packers flag recently.

The flag has a medium green background, a large white G in the middle, with yellow (it isn’t gold) piping around it.

The Packers of course have a trademark on it. Nobody can get one of these flags!

Well….. you actually can! The Packers will allow the printing of a flag and let you have it…… in exchange for a $25,000 donation to the Green Bay Packers. Not a charity- to the Packers.

That is why they aren’t America’s Team.

I hate most nanny's on newer cars but that one works well. Only problem is on the highway you may set cruise at say 80 and come up on a slower car and not realize you are now going whatever speed he is going. Happened to me often on a rental in Alaska until I got used to it.

I love cruise control and the GM Adaptive cruise control is fantastic. Times 100 if you have to follow another driver. It can inadvertently apply the brakes if it "sees" a vehicle slowing to make a turn from an adjacent lane on a curving road.

Cruise control helps me stay at or over the limit as I am willing to chance. :-"

Just drove a vehicle with Adaptive Cruise Control this week. Think that is the same as you are speaking of. Personally, I don’t like it. If I set the cruise at 72, I want it to go 72. And I’ll decide how much space between me and the vehicle ahead of me. I’m not some young douchebag watching TicTok and sending selfies to people on “the gram” when I’m driving.

All it leads to for me is I have to turn it off and on again unnecessarily, which will lead to it wearing out and replacing.

The Silverado is also adjustable, but incremented in seconds... before impact, assuming the driver isn't paying attention.

We have a 2019 Rav 4. Has the adaptive cruise control with 3 distance settings. I have done what another has said several times and not realized the car in front of me was slowing my pace. One gripe I have is when u switch lanes and the radar sees its clear, it accelerates too quickly. Bad for gas mileage, wear and tear, and slightly dangerous. One thing I like is it will come to a complete stop without u touching the brake if radar cruise is on and there happens to be a red light. When the light turns green and u want to go and resume cruise you just tap the gas pedal once. Auto headlights and blind spot monitor are nice but lane assist is not. I don't like the feeling of the car moving the steering wheel. FYI to the owner of the 2020 RAV4 if it's an XLE or above and has BSM the BSM works with lane assist. If u have them both on you'll get the light on the side mirror when someone is in you're blind spot, if u put signal on that way it will beep and flash, and if u try to switch lanes the car won't let u.
Another cool new feature is the front window camera that takes a pic of every speed limit sign it sees and displays it on the dashboard so youre never wondering what the limit is or having to wait for the next sign.

Edit: Also noticed u referred to the closest setting as "u better have foot on brake". The radar cruise on the RAV will apply the brakes and won't allow u to hit the car in front of you regardless of how hard they hit the brakes and even if they come to a complete stop. RAV will completely stop without ever touching brakes and hold u stopped until u tap gas pedal which will resume your previous cruise setting. Just be aware if the car in front of u jumps on the brakes the RAVs system will apply equally hard braking which may startle u. Toyota dealer told us its not great at recognizing deer and other wildlife but it recognizes pedestrians and bicycles.

Best new feature and the one I miss the most because our old Ford Escape had it and RAV doesn't is that button that would return the seat and mirrors to your specific settings and the wife had a button for her settings.

The one nanny feature I do like is on some Honda models have active blind spot cameras. As soon as you flip the directional on, it activates the camera in that bling spot. Big winner.
