30° ish here. Windchill makes it feel like 25°. Kinda overcast and we might get a couple inches of snow. No plans on going outside. Plan is do some cooking, watch some football and clean up the kitchen as a result of cooking.

W-2s and other tax stuff is starting to come in so I'll have to consolidate those for easy access when it's time to file taxes. My goal each year is to owe nothing nor get anything back nothing - get as close to $0.00 each way on the year end taxes.

Dog walk at 0730 was chilly in da 40's. Currently 52. Had a 2 egg spinach, mushroom and sausage scramble with a l'il Frank's red hot and an English muffin. Chicken tenders and broccoli for later. Might just stay in PJ's and work on the butt groove in my recliner today.

Every other day gym schedule for now. Give myself time to rest, aside from the daily dog walk. BP and HR are perfect lately. Still feel a little "off" sometimes... *shaddup ya bastids* 🤦

Hey Danm,

Question for you at the intersection of Circulation and Hot Sauce.

Am thinking about carrying a bottle of hot sauce with me on Monday and Tuesday. Will be spending a fair amount of time outside and have crap circulation.

Would taking hits of hot sauce through the day help warm me? I’m even good with a placebo effect.

Thoughts?

Try it. Sometimes when I overdo it I'll take my hat and jacket off and stand on the deck to "cool off" but I don't feel like it does anything to actually make me warmer. Definitely doesn't help my hands and feet. Those are cold pretty much year round until the temp is over 85.

Similar response to alcohol. Feels warm because it increases bloodflow to the skin but also increases sweating. May ultimately make things worse.

Big snowdrift in the driveway. It's gonna wait. Maybe if I get bored enough I'll go dig it out but I'm in no rush to go out there. Just letting the dogs in/out is enough for me.

Walked around the house with a towel wiping ice/water off all the windows.

Wife filled the birdseed pitcher and asked me to fill the feeders. I'll get the ones that are mounted on the house and deck but I'm not walking out to the feeders in the yard. The birds can just come to the house if they hungry. It's a short flight.

That is me exactly. The chill doesn’t start coming out of my bones until a series of 70 degree days.
On that 85 degree day, I stand on the asphalt in front of my mailbox for a while. Can almost smell the skin burning.
That is the day my feet are finally warm.

Suns out... 56 degrees.

I have always been a furnace. Hot all the time. Now I'm on a blood thinner my hands, nose and feet are frequently cold. I'm not sure if it's the moist air, too. CA dry air didn't feel as cold as the cold air feels here in FL where the humidity is always high.

Blew out the same damn tire that I blew out a week or so ago. Thread was fine. The sidewall blew out. The $450 they saved by having a a recap installed will be negated by the $820 plus other charges they are going to have to pay for the virgin tire getting installed now.

That sucks, there is a lot of trash on the highway. I lost a tire on my Silverado to a chunk of iron, almost $400 later it was replaced. Not as expensive as a semi tire, but it was maddening since the tires only had about 10k miles so I had to buy something other than the Michelin tires I like.

The tire shop had an impressive collections of things they had found in tires. Lots of the common screw, nails and bolts but also some large blunt bits of metal it was hard to imagine getting into a tire/
