I was able to talk briefly with David today. But our conversation was cut short due to physical therapy.

At present David is bedridden in a rehab hospital. He expects to continue to be so for the near future. Having had 3-4 surgeries and a period in ICU has led to leg atrophy. Hence the need for physical therapy.

He still has leakage in his GI track so another surgery is planned when his care team feels he is strong enough.

His spirit is what one would expect from someone who went from being ambulatory and full of life to someone who has been bedridden for months.

Please continue to keep him in your thoughts.

He was before my time and not that it matters but was this the result of an accident or illness? Where is he currently located? Maybe one of us could stop in and brighten his day. There is nothing worse than being stuck immobile. Sending positive thoughts.
