I thought the Niners were gonna pull off a win but when KC scored 10 points and shutout SF in the 3rd quarter, it just felt like the tide had turned. In that critical quarter, Shanahan’s play calling was less than stellar. Iirc, SF ran the ball only once and had 3 3-and-outs. While he is a very good coach, it’s the 3rd time he’s lost a SB with a two-score lead. Once as OC for Atlanta and then twice as HC.
With that being said, I don’t doubt that SF will win a SB one day but it better be soon while Purdy’s contract is manageable.
