81165 Record Bond Edicion Limitada. Draw is perfect, first light is a huge pepper blast. Settles down pretty quickly. Weird bit there's little pockets in the coal that sizzle. Seen 3-4 sparks shoot out of the ash and I've heard a dozen already. Doesn't taste odd or anything. Weird.
Very earthy flavors, pepper has stayed muted, its somewhat astringent. No sweet creamy notes I like in a broadleaf. It's pretty similar to the Penn Standard. Much better than the standard Record Bond but the bar was low.
Halfway a little bready, still black pepper retro, still a little dry, some sweetness but not much. Still with the sizzling bits and occasional flying spark. No touchups, burned straight. Overall pretty decent, better than a yard gar but still not a real recliner cigar. I'd put these in my travel humidor for camping or gridlife events. Something to hand out, something to accidentally forget when I set it on the tailgate, but good enough to relax with. Reminds me of some of the Diesels I used to buy early in my cbid days. It's a decent daily driver and at $3.80per it's priced appropriately. Hard call cause just over $4 I can do better.
That marks the end of my exploration of Raymond Pages cigars. Unfortunately I bought the majority of them in 10 packs, so I'll be giving away a lot of yard gars. They're all well made, decent yard gars. They have their place, I'll keep some around. I was hoping to find a few I thought would age well but most don't have enough...anything to age out. Most of them were very mild. Any of you active noobs want a sampler pm me.
