^Amen for that, Jake.

81811: RP Vintage 1992 BP Churchill
This was a good cigar with nice flavor transitions and it piddled out in the last third like the rest of them have. With an RP fiver it seems like I get five different cigars instead of one blend of tobacco. I won’t say I’ve never enjoyed any RP smoked. I enjoyed this one until I got a bit into the last third. I am a stickler for consistency and reliability. Am I setting myself up for frustration? I haven’t bought any RP lately but that’s because I’ve got 5s and 10s of a whole lot of his blends. I can’t see buying any more even if I do enjoy some of the smokes.

^ I still smoke what I have but haven’t bought any since some lanceros I hoped would be really good. They weren’t bad but I paid too much

81812 Warped Flor del Valle was excited to try this one, only 2 weeks in my humidor. Saw em on sale and needed to try my single to decide if I should buy a tenski.

Straight pepper bomb to start. Not typical Nicaraguan pepper bomb either this was burn the sinuses I just snorted cayenne type pepper. And nothing else came through until after the first ash drop. Now it turned into more the cigar I anticipated. Much more pleasant. There's still a bit of a bite on retro but either it chilled out or I adapted quickly. Either way, it's quite pleasant. The texture is thin but building, honey roasted nuts coming forward. Halfway, the cream has continued to build and is where I like it. Nice buttery rich texture, loads of sharp spice, some mineral notes, some woodiness, there's a lot here and I am enjoying it. Tenski is a go. I paid $8 for the single and $55 for the ten pack.

81818: LGC Wavell Natural Rob - this one didn’t smoke well. One side was hard charcoal and the other side canoed on me. Very tight draw.
81819: RP 15th Anniversary Churchill Black Pepper on light up, lots of coffee grounds and milk chocolate in first half, occasional hits of anise. Green pepper popped in and out in last half. Into the final third it fizzled out and tasted a bitter.

81821 - Fugazi COTY Compare to Tatuaje
Nice wrappers on these Fugazis. This is the second blend I tried of the Fugazi sampler and its pretty good. Well worth the $2 I paid for it.

81824 Warped Cloud Hopper no. 53

Starting off dry and woody with a cinnamon toast finish. Slightly astringent, not my thing but I'll keep on. Slight bite on retrohale but not much. 2 ash drops in, it's improved. Astringency is gone but it's still fairly dry. Only has two weeks of humidor time. Halfway it got a bit richer in texture, the cinnamon toast turned more graham cracker, the wood remained with a nice spice blend but the dryness subsides to a very nice cigar. It's good. I'll add it to the box list when I find one on sale. They come in cabs tho, so maybe just fiver/tenski sales buy.
