823xx Foundation Olmec maduro with thanks to myself. Got a box of these in Feb and the Egyptian monument place has boxes for $99 on their flash sale so I figured it's time to try one, see if I want a 2nd box. The blend looks like something that needs age, so I bought the first box to sleep on. But gotta try it before I buy another box. Already have several hundred cigars purchased to intentionally age.
Anyway. First light is overwhelming. Big MSA flavors. Pepper, earthy, chocolatey. Thankfully it chills out a bit after an inch. Big smoke bomb this is. Gets sweeter. It's very Padron-like. I am not a big padron fan but do like em well aged on occasion. I think ill hold off on box #2 and let these sleep a year or two before I try again. It's a good cigar, but too strong for my taste preference at the moment. Very overwhelming. If you like em full, this is for you. It's strong enough I can barely taste my dr pepper.
If you like Padron 64 maduro, you need to try this one.
