Took the boy shooting with brother in law and nephew down my parents place. 12ga on clays and 22s on steel.

Good times

Killed my fourth scorpion 🦂

That, with the two rattlesnakes,
and all the vegetation with needles and spikes on it,
It’s like everything out here is intent on killing you.

I couldn’t feel more at home…

Take the rattlesnake carcas to your local game warden and see if you win a prize 😁

Rattlesnake is pretty good breaded and fried.

That kinda sounds yummy. Is the meat rather tender and how would you strip off the scales?

Slice it into about 1/4" chips, bread it with some seasonings and deep fry it to golden brown. Dip the chips into marinara sauce like mozzarella bites as an appetizer.

Skinned the first mojave rattlesnake.
Gonna use the skin on sumtin.
Think I might make a dip out of the scorpions
and send it to you’s guys. I’m sure the poison
won’t be too overwhelming

Enjoy…

3:38 and I can’t sleep but I don’t want to smoke a cigar and be up for over an hour working on it. I don’t have any cigarellos. Dang.

Mornin' dudes... black coffee and a stroll wit da puppy dog done. Resting from the gym this week. Shoulders are sore. They get a workout no matter what I am doing, so I will do nothing and let them recover a bit. Soreness on R inner elbow, too, so that'll be rested.

Safelite appt at 2pm to fix the crack I made in the windshield. 🤦

Good Monday Afternoon tp All IT's off and on rain today. Spent this morning blowing weeds and mud off the driveway, drains and concrete. We got a heavy shower yesterday that made a mess. The rest of the morning was spent depriving a few hundred handgun and rifle cases.

Woke up groggy to 72RH and it’s heading to 80+ unless it rains. Bring it on. This muggy weather and the flying insects and bugs and flies put a real damper on my cigar smoking enjoyment.

Danm, I may need a housecall. As I was smoking my cigar last night on the back patio, I watched a large racoon walk along the top of my neighbor's back wall, traverse my back wall, and move on down the line of block walls. It stopped on my wall to stare at me so I shined my flashlight at it, but it seemed uninterested. I made some nooise and it moved on.

I have seen bobcats, javelina, coyotes and rattle snakes in my neighborhood, but this was the first racoon. I think we may need a few more bobcats, javelina, coyotes and rattle snakes to take care the racoon...

I may need to look into a surpressed .22.

Maybe consider a high pressure/velocity air rifle, they can use a suppressor with no tax tamp because they are not "firearms", take a look at Pyramidair.com

Would you even need a suppressor for an air rifle considering theyre legal to shoot in your backyard? I do know a .22 cal pellet rifle will fire a .22 caliber expanding lead pellet at 1000-1200 fps. So it's basically the same as a .22 and even cheaper to shoot so that's good advice from Gene.

My back yard, behind the house, is trees. I'd shoot that mofo and my neighbor would be happy... one less varmint to mess with his chickens.

Crack was too big to repair. Mobile truck gonna come to da house on Friday and replace the windshield. Apparently windshields are covered by comprehensive in FL without a deductible, once a year... huh. Did not know that. It's a shade over $400 so it would have been all out of pocket for me. My deductible is $500.
