Never shot sporting clays but have shot trap and skeet a few times. I'm guessing not knowing when and where the birds are flying is a lot more challenging?

I call it golfing with shotguns. Each station/hole has a different set of challenges. The place we were at had 2 different sized clays in 4 different colors across the stages. You have an idea of where they fly, and they launch on "pull" but 2nd clay launches on report so first shot out 2nd clay flies. Having different chokes in a o/u isn't always advantageous because sometimes you'll have two far throws or two close or a close then far or vice versa. Some roll on the ground, some launch towards you some left to right some right to left some are only in the air for about 2 seconds.

It's a lot of fun, very challenging.

Cleaned the fish tanks. That's about it. Plan on putting in the garden tomorrow.

Frank, if I could just sell some of these carbon credits I could start on our ocean front hotel/lodge.

It's a tough sell right now, considering that it was so cold up here last night that I had to turn the heaters back on--in the middle of May.

I'm trying though. You're going to get the Presidential suite.

You guys have a good weekend.

Yup!

Once you get past the infant stage, it’s so much fun to spoil them with food and toys that the parents frown upon. 🤣

Sporting clays is one of my favorite hobbies. Ski and golf resort north of me has a fantastic 15 station 100 clay course. Two levels. The advanced level includes a lot of "true pair stands" where both are launched at the same time and some report pair stands. Advanced level has a lot of launchers on hills far behind you and a couple launchers 100ft up in the air on those JLG spider cranes.

So, tried this concoction where you add tequila to a bottle of freeze dried limes and powder. Let it sit sit overnight and you have a bottle of margarita.

I started pouring a standard margarita sized drink when it occurred to me, I'm basically pouring straight tequila infused with flavor. Need to find my funnel now

How does it taste?

I haven't had a Margarita in years. When we lived in Texas work conditions required extensive stress relief. Stress relief involved enjoying enough Margaritas to wear out several blenders.

When things got rowdy we would occasionally switch to instant Margaritas. You sit in a chair, lean your head back and open your mouth. A shot of tequila, a squeeze of lime and a shot to Triple Sec are poured into you mouth, and swallowed, extra point for gargling the mixture first.

I tried this concoction where you mix 2 oz of whiskey... hear me out, now... with another ounce of whiskey! It's called a rusty nail. I know, right? Why the **** would they call it that?

Normally it's 2 oz single malt scotch and 1 oz of Drambuie... (scotch with honey and herbs). But I tried it with bourbon. Wild Turkey 101 (it's good and cheap, so perfect mixer). Jaysus hisself would love this stuff.

Not my favorite, but an interesting experiment. Definitely strong. It recommended blending with ice, but I never liked the slushy version
