Way over-priced, but an excellent cigar!

Agreed. I bought these for about $14 and they now sell for close to $35 each.

Trinidad Coloniales, Mar 2020, very tasty...complex blend of grass, caramel and floral notes

as noted above, given the current prices for Cuban cigars and especially Trinidad, I'm slowing down my consumption to extend my pleasure...down to a handful of these beauties...

like Palama said, with the benefit of foresight, I woulda spent way more on Cuban cigars a few years ago, before their prices jumped into the stratosphere

Montecristo open junior from yaro. Great short cigar. If these weren’t the price they are I would be buying a box or 2

^ #5373 - glad you liked the Trini, jeebs...

Montecristo No. 2, from 2008, big pyramid that after 15 years, still kicked my azz...not sure if this is still a regular production vitola...there is a Petit No. 2, but I don't see a regular No. 2 at the usual places...the going price for the Petit is a ridiculous $750/15box...another CC that is beyond reach to replace when I smoke them up...

I *thought* I saw #2s back in stock at one of the trusted sites but the price was so ridiculously high that all I could do was laugh and move on. Iirc, I have 1 more #2 left and should save it for a very special occasion.

Unless there’s a drastic downturn in the pricing or a fairy tale financial windfall, I probably won’t be buying ANY Cuban cigars for the rest of my smoking life. Even private inventory thinnings / eliminations are too much for my fixed income budget.

The producers of Cuban cigars hiked prices drastically a few years ago, during the pandemic, claiming a shortage of tobacco leaves due to storms. Enough consumers were willing then, and continue to pay the exorbitant prices.

Now the producers of Cuban cigars have no incentive to increase production and/or to reduce prices.

Meanwhile, the prices of non-Cuban cigars have crept up. The prices of "top tier" stuff have gone up faster and higher.

The MC #2 is the only cc I've smoked and it was stellar. Sad to see that they are hiking up the prices so bad.

Hope that they come back down in my lifetime, would love to pick up a box.
